ELISAVA presents ‘Decoding. Zoom in Design’, an exhibition about ELISAVA Research, the research department of the School. The exhibition will be open at Arts Santa Mònica from February 23rd to April 16th.

The exhibition wants to share and spread the new phase that ELISAVA Research means for the School. It is a multi-disciplinary research unit that ELISAVA, true to its innovative spirit, has created in a clear challenge for the knowledge generation, the collaboration university-company and the attraction of talent.

ELISAVA Research is a space from where solutions to important and future challenges of design, society and companies are researched, ideated, prototyped and communicated. A diversified and pioneer research result of the combination of five main concepts that are inter-disciplinarily worked on: human, data, matter, interaction and society. An active community of researchers, students, designers and companies that has as an objective to give value to society through innovation and talent, creating sustainable, ethical and welfare development opportunities.

The resulting knowledge network, at international level, wants to start new paradigms of the current industry, integrating research into the definition and training of new designers and engineers profiles.

In conclusion, a starting point to understand what will be the role of the designer in the future and that you can finish discovering it in the next ELISAVA Research exhibition at Museu del Disseny de Barcelona in the beginning of 2018.
