Round table with Natacha Bustos, Conxita Herrero and Ana Oncina, three young artists who will talk about their work and the current situation of the comic-book world.

 

Natacha Bustos (Ibiza, 1981). Graduated in Fine Arts in Granada. She first stand out for her drawings for the awarded graphic novel Chernobyl. The Zone, by Francisco Sánchez. Afterwards, she participated in Nuevas Hazañas Bélicas curated by Hernán Migoya. She's also part of the comic female collective Caniculadas. After participating in the French collection Lolita HR, she took the plunge in the USA, first collaborating with Vértigo/DC Comics with Strange Sports Stories and after recruited for Marvel Comics, where she has drawn characters like Spider-Woman or the new female incarnation of Thor. But she specially succeeds with the series Moon Girls and Devil Dinosaur. Author's website

 

Ana Oncina (Elda –Alicante-,1989). She studied Fine Arts at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, and she specialised in illustration and animation. Her first comic, Croqueta and Empanadilla, was a selling success and was awarded with the People's Award at Salón del Cómic de Barcelona 2014. Nowadays she keeps scripting and drawing the stories of these beloved characters, while she works on other works, she collaborates as an illustrator for clients like Ikea, Intermon Oxfam or the City Hall of Madrid. She has also coordinated the comic-book magazine Voltio, in which she participates with the character Alicia. Author's website

 

Conxita Herrero (Barcelona, 1993). She graduated in Fine Arts at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has been drawing, writing and self-publishing several fanzines for years. In 2016 she edited her first own comic, Gran bola de helado, which has received several compliments. Author's website
