At the same time, today's market presents design and communication professionals with a major challenge, making it essential to equip oneself with a complete and multifaceted set of skills and abilities. In addition to being creative and innovative, designers and marketing and research professionals need to have a strategic view of design, communication, market dynamics, customer relationships as well as being capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team in order to respond to the global market's demand for competitive products and services.
This Postgraduate Diploma responds to design, marketing and trends research professionals' requirements for specialist training. GOALS
The main goals of this programme are to:
- Train professionals in the skills and functions required of coolhunters. Students are presented all the theoretical and practical tools they need to develop their abilities, together with skills in analysis.
- Promote delving into the industry, through the multidisciplinary approach used throughout the course.
- Establish different theoretical and practical lines of work for analysing the sector.
- Give students the cross-disciplinary knowledge required of professional specialists associated with the production of cutting-edge articles and services, within a historical context in order to understand the current trends.
- Stimulate debate around these new work areas.
DIRECTION
MARTA WENDLINGER. JD in Law from the Boston University School of Law. Graduate in Humanities, University of California, Berkeley. Director of Shower Me with Style, a consulting company for individuals, companies and the fashion industry. She is also fashion correspondent for English language media such as Catalonia Today, Barcelona Reporter and Barcelona Metropolitan. For some time she has appeared on TV, radio and in the Press. She has worked at several design schools, including IED, IDEP and ELISAVA, and also organises fashion events in Barcelona.
